USS Boxer and Charles de Gaulle Sail in Andaman Sea

ANDAMAN SEA (June 7, 2019) Amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) conducts a breakaway in the Andaman Sea with French aircraft carrier FS Charles de Gaulle (R 91), anti-submarine destroyer FS Latouche Treville (D 646), anti-submarine frigate FS Provence (D 652) and underway replenishment tanker FS Marne (A 630) during a photo exercise. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies, and respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.

HSC-25 Rescues Four From Damaged Watercraft

GUAM (Apr. 11, 2019) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 1st Class William Medlin lowers Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Robert Washington, both assigned to the “Island Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25, to rescue two local spear fishermen after their personal watercraft sank off the east coast of Guam. HSC-25 provides a multi-mission rotary wing capability for units in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations and maintains a Guam-based 24-hour search-and-rescue and medical evacuation capability, directly supporting U.S. Coast Guard and Joint Region Marianas. HSC-25 is the Navy’s only forward-deployed MH-60S expeditionary squadron.
