U.S. 7th Fleet Band

WELCOME

The U.S. 7th Fleet Band’s “Far East Edition”, established in 1974, is a popular music ensemble known for its incredible versatility. Transforming from a brass band to a rock band to a jazz combo, this group can be heard playing American Top 40 hits, traditional New Orleans-style jazz, classic rock, local regional favorites, and anything in between.  Far East Edition has been featured at major events throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific region and have entertained hundreds of thousands of people over the years.

Check out some shot from this year's Spring Festival! Each year CFAY and MWR have an open base event where we invite our host nation to join us in celebrating the beginning of spring with live music, food, and events. This year, "Orient Express" had the pleasure of entertaining these guests inside of Benny Decker Theater! Great Fun!

The Seventh Fleet Band performs in Bangkok, Thailand during a port visit to Laem Chebang, Thailand. The 7th Fleet Band is embarked aboard U.S. 7th Fleet's Flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) providing security and stability to Indo-Pacific Region.

Announcing open-call auditions for Keyboard, Guitar, and Electric Bass
positions in U.S. Navy Fleet Bands!

Audition Locations and Dates:
Boston @ New England Conservatory - April 30 and May 1, 2019
LA @ Musicians Institute - May 3, 2019
Chicago @ 111 North State St. - May 6-7, 2019

Winners will be assigned a position at one of nine U.S. Navy Fleet Bands.

U.S 7th Fleet Band held six perfomances throughout Manila performing at schools, malls, a radio station and even the U.S Embassy in the Philippines during a port visit. The Seventh Fleet Band arrived in Manila aboard the USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, Blue Ridge actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific Region.

BUSAN, Republic of Korea (February 18,2019) Members of the U.S. Seventh Fleet Band and the Republic of Korea Navy Band exchanged notes, stories, and even a few songs with each other, strengthening the cultural and diplomatic ties with America's allies through music.
