YELLOW SEA (March 30, 2010) Navy Diver 2nd Class Brett Lorenz, a Warren, Mich. native assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) ONE, performs communication checks in the diving operations chamber aboard the Military Sealift Command rescue and salvage ship USNS Salvor (ARS 52). U.S. Navy forces are preparing to assist the Republic of Korea (ROK) in search, recovery, and salvage efforts for the ROK Navy frigate Cheonan, which sank March 27 in the Yellow Sea near the western sea border with North Korea. The forces include the guided-missile destroyer USS Shiloh (CG 67); and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Lassen (DDG 82) and USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54).
