Bremerton visits Singapore during Indo-Pacific Deployment

SINGAPORE -- The Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Bremerton (SSN 698) arrived in Singapore Feb. 14, 2018 for a visit as part of its deployment to the Indo-Pacific region.

With a crew of approximately 140, Bremerton will conduct a multitude of missions and maintain proficiency of the latest capabilities of the submarine fleet. For some of the crew, this is their first time visiting Singapore.

USS Bremerton, commissioned on March 28th, 1981, is named after the city of Bremerton, Wash. It is the tenth ship of the Los Angeles-class attack submarines. The vessel is 362-feet long, displaces 6,900 tons and can be armed with sophisticated Mark-48 torpedoes and Tomahawk cruise missiles.
