USS Fitzgerald departs Fleet Activities Yokosuka

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) is towed away from the pier at Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka, Nov. 24, to meet heavy lift transport vessel MV Transshelf. Transshelf will transport Fitzgerald to Pascagoula, Mississippi for repairs.

Ronald Regan is participating in Annual Exercise 2017, the premier training event between the U.S. Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, is designed to increase the defensive readiness and interoperability of Japanese and American Forces through training in air and sea operations.

170603-N-PD309-113 GULF OF THAILAND (June 3, 2017) Littoral combat ship USS Coronado (LCS 4) steams ahead during a division tactics exercise in support of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand. CARAT is a series of Pacific Command-sponsored, U.S Pacific Fleet-led bilateral exercises held annually in South and Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
