Master Chief Jeremy Douglas enlisted in May 1998 and attended Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes.
After completion, he attended Machinist Mate Nuclear Field ‘A’ School in Orlando, FL, followed by Nuclear Power School and Nuclear Power Training Unit (MTS 635) in Charleston, SC.
Master Chief Douglas’ previous in-rate assignments include: USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN 75) for her first two deployments; Staff Instructor in Nuclear Power Training Unit (MTS 635); USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73) while forward deployed to Japan; COMNAVAIRLANT Surface Nuclear Power Mobile Training Team; USS GERALD R. FORD (CVN 78) as the Plankowner Reactor Department Master Chief.
His Command Master Chief tours include: USS DONALD COOK (DDG 75) while forward deployed to Spain; Surface Warfare Schools Command; USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76) while forward deployed to Japan; Carrier Strike Group FIVE/Task Force SEVEN ZERO (CSG5/CTF-70) during the GEORGE WASHINGTON and RONALD REAGAN hull swap to Yokosuka, Japan; and currently serves as the Command Master Chief to Commander, U.S. SEVENTH Fleet.
Throughout his career, he has completed deployments in the FIFTH, SIXTH, and SEVENTH Fleet areas of responsibilities, and participated in operations SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM, and ENDURING FREEDOM, and OPERATION TOMODACHI.
Master Chief Douglas is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, CMC/COB course, National Defense University’s Senior Enlisted Keystone course, and the Naval Postgraduate Navy Senior Leader Seminar (NSLS). He holds a BSAST in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State College and a MS in Project Management from Boston University.
His is authorized to wear various personal, service, and campaign awards.
