Blue Ridge Makes Port Call in Goa

GOA, India (April 8, 2016) - Commanding Officer of the U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), Capt. Matt Paradise, is welcomed to Goa by a ceremonial representative from the Indian Navy. It is customary for a ship conducting a port call in India to be greeted by a ceremonial member of their service to their country. Blue Ridge is currently on patrol in the 7th Fleet area of operations strengthening and fostering relationships within the Indo-Asia-Pacific.

The Blue Ridge team consists of more than 900 members, including embarked 7th Fleet staff, Marines from Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team Pacific (FASTPAC) and the "Golden Falcons" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 12.

WATERS SURROUNDING THE KOREAN PENINSULA, Republic of Korea (March 31, 2016) Mineman 2nd Class Eric Evans and Mineman Seaman James Nagle help retrieve a training mine aboard the mine countermeasures ship USS Patriot (MCM 7) during exercise Foal Eagle. Foal Eagle is a series of joint and combined field training exercises conducted by Combined Forces Command (CFC) and U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) ground, air, naval and special operations component commands. Approximately 10,600 U.S. forces are operating alongside Republic of Korea forces.

Blue Ridge Changes Command in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (Mar. 26, 2016) - The USS Blue Ridge, flagship of the U.S. Navy's Seventh Fleet, arrived in Sri Lanka for a goodwill visit. While in Colombo sailors from the Blue Ridge are scheduled to stage free public performances in Colombo, including a joint performance with the Sri Lanka Navy, Army, and Air Force bands.
