Brooks Intelligence Junior Officer of the Year (Afloat). 7th Fleet, which celebrates its 75th year in 2018, spans more than 124 million square kilometers, stretching from the International Date Line to the India/Pakistan border; and from the Kuril Islands in the North to the Antarctic in the South.

YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 22, 2018) Machinist's Mate 3nd Class Leonard Barnes inserts a lit torch into a boiler aboard the U.S. 7th Fleet Flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). This is the first time in nearly two years Blue Ridge has had her boilers lit and is steaming under her own power following an extended selected restricted availability. Blue Ridge has entered a final upkeep and training phase in preparation to become fully mission capable for operations.
