INDIAN OCEAN (July 10, 2018) – A U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft located a missing fishing vessel July 10, after joining search efforts at the request of the Sri Lankan Navy.The P-8A is the world’s newest, most capable maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft and operates regularly throughout the Indo-Pacific in support of regional security and stability.

The World Master Chefs Society selected Feliciano to receive the Master Chefs Diploma of Culinary Excellence in July, making him the fifth active duty enlisted service member to receive the honor in the history of Department of Defense.

Sailors assigned to the forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), pack food boxes scheduled to be delivered to Mount Mayon volcanic eruption victims during a community project with the Republic of the Philippines National Response and Logistics Management Services. More than 200 Ronald Reagan Sailors participated in eight community projects sponsored by the ship's Command Religious Ministries Department during a scheduled port visit to Manila, June 26-30. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
