VP-16 Aircrew Conducts Subject Matter Expert Exchange with Indian Navy

GOA, India (Oct 30, 2018) A P-8A Poseidon from Patrol Squadron 16 (VP-16) sits on the runway in Goa, India, as part of the Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) with counterparts of Indian Naval Squadron (INS) 312. Members from VP-16’s top combat aircrew, Crew 7, conduct training and shared their technical knowledge with the Indian Navy P-8I squadrons.

CTF 75, the primary expeditionary task force responsible for the planning and execution of coastal riverine operations, explosive ordnance disposal, diving engineering and construction, and underwater construction in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.

Hosted by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN), the two-day conference is one of the region’s premier venues to discuss maritime security issues amongst senior military and defense officials.  More than 140 delegates representing 52 countries and 22 international organizations and defense industries attended this year’s conference.
