USS Emory S. Land Visits Subic Bay

Land (AS 39), prepares to toss a line to the pier as the ship prepares to moor at Subic Bay, Philippines, Nov. 18. Land is in Subic Bay for a scheduled port visit to conduct a series of inspections for Land's Fleet Maintenance Activity Assessment.

HSC-25 Conducts MEDEVAC of Chinese Citizen at Sea

PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 20, 2019) Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Patrick Shea prepares to lower a rescue basket used as part of a medical evacuation mission conducted by the "Island Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25. A Chinese national in medical distress aboard the Chinese-flagged vessel Jin Bo was recovered approximately 100 miles northwest of Guam and flown to Guam Memorial Hospital for treatment. HSC-25 provides a multi-mission rotary wing capability for units in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations and maintains a Guam-based 24-hour search-and-rescue and medical evacuation capability, directly supporting U.S. Coast Guard and Joint Region Marianas. HSC-25 is the Navy’s only forward-deployed MH-60S expeditionary squadron.
