Indian, Japanese and U.S. maritime forces to participate in exercise Malabar 2019

SASEBO, Japan (Sept. 26, 2019) Rear Adm. Jimmy Pitts, Commander Submarine Group 7, gives opening remarks at the Malabar 2019 opening ceremony aboard the Japanese helicopter destroyer JS Kaga (DDH-184). Malabar is an annual multinational maritime exercise started in 1992 with the Indian Navy and most recently, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force to increase cooperation among allied and partner nations in the Indo Pacific.
