7th Fleet Flagship, USS Blue Ridge, Arrives in Hong Kong

U.S. 7th Fleet Flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) arrives for a port visit in Hong Kong. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as U.S. 7th Fleet command ship, is operating in support of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific Region.

HSC-25 maintains a 24-hour search and rescue and medical evacuation alert posture, directly supporting the U.S. Coast Guard, Sector Guam and Joint Region Marianas. HSC-25 ensures maritime peace and security in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.

Military Sealift Command (MSC) Capt. Peter Lenardson, master aboard the rescue and salvage ship USNS Salvor (T-ARS 52), left, accepts the 2018 MSC Maritime Excellence Award from U.S. Navy Capt. Robert Williams, commodore, MSC Far East, at MSC Far East headquarters. The Maritime ‘E’ is presented annually to government owned and operated ships for attaining the highest standards of readiness. Salvor regularly conducts salvage, diving, towing, offshore firefighting, heavy-lift operations and theater-security cooperation missions. It is one of only two rescue and salvage vessels in the MSC inventory, and the only ship of its kind in the Far East.

Preble Completes Cooperative Deployment with HMAS Melbourne

PHILIPPINE SEA (April 18, 2019) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Preble (DDG 88) and the Royal Australian Navy Adelaide-class guided-missile frigate HMAS Melbourne (FFG 05) transit in formation during a cooperative deployment. Preble and Melbourne are participating in a cooperative deployment in order to improve on maritime capabilities between partners.  Preble is deployed to the U.S 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

Konetzni Hall: COMSUBRON 15 Dedicates Building to Historic Submariner

Retired Vice Adm. Albert Konetzni laughs at jokes from his former colleagues describing his historic moments as Pacific Fleet Force submarine commander during the Konetzni Hall building dedication ceremony held at Commander, Submarine Squadron 15 headquarters building. As the Pacific Fleet Force submarine commander, Konetzni spearheaded the squadron's reactivation in 2002, forward-deploying three Los Angeles-class fast attack submarines out of Guam.

HSC-25 provides a multi-mission rotary wing capability for units in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations and maintains a Guam-based 24-hour search-and-rescue and medical evacuation capability, directly supporting U.S. Coast Guard and Joint Region Marianas. HSC-25 is the Navy’s only forward-deployed MH-60S expeditionary squadron.
