NMCB-5 Completes Cohesive COMMEX with 9th ESB

211122-N-CE120-1005 KWAJALEIN, Marshall Islands (Nov. 14, 2021) U.S. Navy Seabees with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5 set up an antenna during a joint Communications Exercise at Kwajalein, Marshall Islands. The U.S. Navy Seabees assigned to NMCB-5 are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific, strengthening their network of alliances and partnerships, and providing general engineering and civil support to joint operational forces. Homeported out of Port Hueneme, California, NMCB-5 has 13 detail sites deployed throughout the U.S. and Indo-Pacific area of operations. USS Howard visits New Zealand

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (Nov. 25, 2021) USS Howard (DDG 83) arrives in New Zealand for a routine port visit, marking the first visit to the country from a U.S. warship since 2016. USS Rushmore arrives in Sasebo for FDNF duties

Sailors assigned to Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan (CFAS) handle lines as the amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) moors pierside at CFAS Nov. 17, 2021 becoming the newest addition to the forward-deployed naval forces (FDNF). The Rushmore relieves another Whidbey Island-class ship, USS Germantown (LSD 42), which departed Sasebo Sept. 15, 2021 after more than a decade of FDNF service.
VP-26 TRIDENTS FIND SMALL CRAFT LOST AT SEA

Aircrew, maintenance crew and combat support crew pose in front of a P-8A Poseidon following the completion of a successful search and rescue detachment.
