Blue Ridge, 7th Fleet Staff Arrive in Thailand

LAEM CHABANG, Thailand (Feb. 23, 2020) - U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) arrives in Laem Chabang, Thailand for a regularly scheduled port visit. During the visit, Sailors will engage with the local culture, host military-to-military engagements and build relationships through music and public service activities.

Luke Frost, commanding officer, amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) pose during a reception for the 31st MEU and America before the start of Exercise Cobra Gold 2020 (CG 20). The America Expeditionary Strike Group-31st MEU team will participate in CG 20, the largest theater security cooperation exercise in the Indo-Pacific region and an integral part of the U.S. commitment to strengthen engagement in the region.

Civic Action Team Palau Holds Turnover of Authority

The U.S. Air Force Pacific Brass Band plays a concert during the Koror Night Market following the Civic Action Team (CAT) Palau change of charge ceremony. During the ceremony, U.S. Army 84th Engineering Battalion CAT 84-06 was relieved by U.S. Air Force 36th Civil Engineer Squadron CAT 36-04. The Civic Action Team Palau provides construction support to the host nation, assists and trains apprentices with general engineering skills, facilitates a medical outreach program and conducts community service projects. CAT Palau is an integral part of the U.S. mission to assist and support the development of the Republic of Palau through the Compact of Free Association between the two nations.
