MANILA, Philippines (March 17, 2019) Mineman Seaman Logan Hardy, from Millbrook, Alabama, throws a messenger line to the pier to moor the Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Chief (MCM 14) as the ship arrives in Manila, Philippines, for a port visit. Chief is visiting Manila while operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to work with their Philippine Navy counterparts to strengthen regional security and stability, and enhance interoperability.
