NMCB-3 Seabees Deploy to Support Ongoing Tinian Recovery Efforts

CRG 1 Conducts 500 NM Long Range Transit

SANTA RITA, Guam (Dec. 28, 2018) Sailors assigned to Coastal Riverine Squadron 3, Detachment Guam, conduct a 500 nautical mile transit aboard a Mark VI patrol boat assigned to Coastal Riverine Group (CRG) 1, Detachment Guam. This marks the longest transit the Mark VI patrol boats have made in the Pacific.

SINGAPORE (Dec. 20, 2018) – Sailors assigned to the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39) cut cabbage during a community service event at the Willing Hearts Soup Kitchen in Singapore, Dec. 20. Emory S. Land is a forward-deployed expeditionary submarine tender on an extended deployment conducting coordinated tended moorings and afloat maintenance in the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operations.

INDIAN OCEAN (Dec. 26, 2018) The San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23), bottom, transits the Bay of Bengal alongside Indian navy destroyer INS Rajput (D 51) while conducting a cooperative deployment with the Indian navy. Anchorage is deployed as part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).

PACIFIC OCEAN (August 1, 2017) An Army CH-47D Chinook helicopter lands on the flight deck of San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23), as part of a Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) event. DSCA events are designed to provide DoD assets to civil authorities in response to requests for assistance for domestic emergencies, law enforcement support, and other domestic activities, or from qualifying entities for special events. Anchorage was involved in DSCA events in Newport, Ore., and Grays Harbor, Wash.
