Preble Arrives in Phuket

Phuket, Thailand (March 18, 2019) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Xiao Wang, from San Francisco, prepares to raise the first Navy jack prior to anchoring off the coast of Phuket, Thailand during sea and anchor detail aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Preble (DDG 88). Preble is visiting Phuket for a regular scheduled port visit. Preble is deployed to the U.S 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
USS Chief Arrives in Manila

MANILA, Philippines (March 17, 2019) Mineman Seaman Logan Hardy, from Millbrook, Alabama, throws a messenger line to the pier to moor the Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Chief (MCM 14) as the ship arrives in Manila, Philippines, for a port visit. Chief is visiting Manila while operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to work with their Philippine Navy counterparts to strengthen regional security and stability, and enhance interoperability.

MANILA, Philippines (March 13, 2019) - Quartermaster Seaman Irish Catibog, from Guam, performs her duties as a lookout aboard U.S. 7th Fleet Flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) as the ship arrives for a port visit to Manila, Philippines. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy, and as 7th Fleet command ship, is responsible for fostering relationships within the Indo-Pacific Region.

Arakkonam, INDIA (Feb. 28, 2019) Chief Electronics Technician (Submarine Communications) Robert Gulini, Electronics Technician 1st Class Raymond Acker, and Information Systems Technician 2nd Class Troy Haynes, assigned to Commander, Submarine Group 7, pose with bilateral aircrews during a subject matter expert exchange with the Indian Navy. Gulini, Acker and Haynes were selected to travel to India because of their extensive experience in information systems and communication networks.
